Title:  Designing Healthcare Audit to give optimum assurance and to drive the quality and safety improvements that matter most.

Synopsis:  Validity has to do with the extent to which an indicator captures the concept of interest.  It should measure what needs to be measured.  Reliability has to do with whether repeated efforts to measure the same phenomenon come up with the same answer.  It relates to the confidence we can have in the information and the associated conclusions and recommendations.  This presentation focuses on how we are continuously improving healthcare audit validity and reliability to give optimum assurance and to drive the quality and safety improvements that matter most to the people that engage with and that deliver our health services.
